The Rose Thread — 2025

MonaMohau is currently active as an assistant for internationally renowned dancer and choreographer Niki Awandee Tsappos in her first solo project, The Rose Thread.

It is a deeply enriching journey for MonaMohau. Stepping into the role of assistant, she find herself not only supporting Niki’s artistic process but also witnessing the vulnerability and courage it takes to create a work that is so personal and transformative.

For MonaMohau, assisting in The Rose Thread is more than just a task — it is an act of holding space, listening, and learning. It’s about weaving her presence into Niki’s unfolding vision while also drawing inspiration from the honesty and strength that the piece demands.
